Law Day Events

On Saturday, April 16, 2016 the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Provincial Court of Alberta held its 4th Annual Law Day at the Calgary Courts Centre. This free, family oriented event promoting access to justice is under the sponsorship of the Canadian Bar Association Alberta Branch. A large number of ACIA’s 58 members were strongly present volunteering and networking.

The Board would like to thank all the volunteers who participated in ACIA’s  third Law day event on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at  the Calgary Courts.

Several members participated in the event and even drove all  the way from Edmonton.

The new ACIA banner was unveiled

On Saturday, April 18, 2015 the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Provincial Court of Alberta held its 3rd^rd Annual Law

Day at the Calgary Courts Centre. This free, family oriented event promoting access to justice

is under the sponsorship of the Canadian Bar Association Alberta Branch; with the support of many entities such as:

The Law Society of Alberta, the Alberta Law Foundation,Law Professional Offices and Corporations, private businesses

and non-profit entities and associations as exhibitors.Also important exhibitors such as, the Calgary Police

Services, Calgary Transit, Canada Border Services Agency,Calgary Humane Society, the Public Library and many more.

There are games for children, High School Mock Trial Tournaments, Mock trials such as:

“Despicable Me” Trial; “R v Batman” Trial; “The Glass Slipper”  Trial; all fun entertainment and educational.

ACIA was accepted as a permanent exhibitor starting 2013 and its booth has grown in recognition and prominence

since that time, allowing its members to promote ACIA and also their individual language professional services.
